Production Futures Breakthrough Talent Awards 2024

Congratulations to Ema Gazdík and Ross Gilmour on their recognition at the Production Futures Breakthrough Talent Awards 2024 at the Production Park in West Yorkshire last week. Ema, winning Audio Newcomer of the Year, and Ross, receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award, have both demonstrated their incredible dedication to their work on projects, tours, festivals, and events they have been part of.

Ema, an Audio Technician who joined Adlib from Future Yard in May 2022, has swiftly integrated herself into our Audio Department. Some notable gigs this year include mixing monitors for the Rock Orchestra in the UK, EU, and US, working as a Monitor/Stage Technician, and acting as Monitor Engineer Laurie Binns’s deputy on Jason Derulo's European summer festival run and subsequent shows in Europe, Africa, and Asia. Last year, she mixed monitors for Mae Muller, the UK representative for Eurovision.

Ross, a Lighting Technician, joined our Lighting team full-time in June 2023 and quickly established himself as a dependable member of Adlib’s touring Lighting crew. Over the past year, he has been on tours with Alfie Boe as Lighting Designer and Operator. Additionally, as a Lighting Technician, he worked on the SMA tour, Rick Astley, Pierce the Veil, The The, Il Divo, Courteeners, Gerry Cinnamon, TRNSMT, as well as Creamfields. He also oversaw the lighting for Radar Festival's 2nd stage.

Phil Stoker, Adlib’s Director, commented: “It’s absolutely fantastic that both Ema and Ross have been recognised by their peers for their exceptional work. Since joining Adlib, they have quickly become integral parts of our touring roster, delivering high-quality work wherever they have been assigned. Lastly, we are really proud that many young aspiring industry professionals choose Adlib to hone their craft and take their first steps in the industry.”
