In honour of International Women's Day, our March 2024 event welcomed over 20 aspiring young women eager to explore the dynamic world of Live Events post-graduation. The day was packed with engaging activities, insightful discussions, and valuable networking opportunities that left a lasting impact on all participants.
The morning session started with a panel discussion led by Adlib’s Nikki Chong, titled 'From Aspiring to Achieving – My Journey into Live Events'. Industry professionals, including Leah Coyle, Kay Haynes, Lizzie Doyle, and Nika Ulrich, shared their career journeys, offering invaluable insights into the diverse roles within the Live Events and media landscape.
In the afternoon session, the celebration continued with a screening of the inspiring short film 'For You: Stories from Women in Live Events', live equipment demonstrations, and a dynamic panel discussion on 'Industry Insight: Navigating the World of Live Events'. Led by Nikki Chong, the panel featured industry experts Roby Hannah, Natalie Gebbie, Gemma Mirdamadi, and Sian Bennett, who shared invaluable tips on overcoming challenges and succeeding in the Live Events industry.
The event concluded with a vibrant Q&A session and networking opportunities, allowing participants to connect with industry professionals in a supportive and inclusive environment. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all guests, panellists, the Adlib team, and industry partners for their contributions to creating a truly inspiring and inclusive atmosphere that encapsulated this year's theme of #InspireInclusion.
