Thanks again to Joe and the team for your help and support in making the NTA a great success. Everyone thought it was an amazing set and a real tech triumph.

The GP Bullhound Northern Tech Awards 2018 were looking for an audio visual hire and technical production partner for their awards ceremony in Edinburgh.
Working through Road3, one of our event agency partnerships, Adlib was asked to provide technical production for the GP Bullhound Northern Tech Awards 2018.
The event was hosted in Edinburgh across two historic venues, The Merchants’ Hall and The Hub.
As a tech awards, it was important that the solution for the event was visually striking and utilised the latest audio visual equipment.
For The Merchants’ Hall, where nominees were tasked with presenting to the awards’ panel of judges, it was vital that a screen solution be used that would allow everyone in the room to clearly see the presentation content. For this, we provided a 4m wide Absen A3 Pro LED video wall which doubled as a striking presentation screen and an impactful stage backdrop.
The main awards ceremony, hosted in The Hub, utilised the Hex Set – a purpose-built stage solution designed for projection mapping, brought to us by Road3. Adlib used two of our Panasonic RZ21K laser projectors, along with a Barco S3 screen management system to map the stage set. Our friends at Draw and Code provided custom 3D content inspired by the work of Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
The use of the Barco S3 allowed us to create multiple custom picture-in-picture layers for portrait live camera shots, videos, and presentation slides.
Due to the width of the main set and the use of front projection, it was vital that the audio system for the event cause no disruption to sight lines, whilst still providing even coverage across the entire audience and offering suitable reinforcement for a performance from the Red Hot Chilli Pipers at the end of the evening. L-Acoustics SYVA provided us with the perfect solution thanks to its narrow physical profile, 140° dispersion and 35m throw capability.
Thanks to Adlib’s continued investment in new technology, we were able to offer a tailored production solution for the event utilising some of the latest in audio visual technology. We were also able to help keep travel and accommodation costs down for our client by utilising skilled local technicians from Adlib Glasgow - our Scottish branch, located just outside of Glasgow.
Both Road3 and the GP Bullhound team received great feedback on the event and the customised technical solutions provided at each venue.
